Robin Burley - Managing Director
During over 30 years experience in the oil industry Robin has worked for BP in Marine and Supply Departments, for Gulf Oil in Trading, Transportation, Refining and Marketing Departments and for the Oil & Pipelines Agency. Besides the day-to-day management and negotiation of oil supply, trading and transportation deals, he has been involved in a variety of oil logistics projects throughout the world. During his career, he has lived in the USA, Europe and the Middle East, and is a contributing author to the Oil Trading Manual (pub. Woodhead).
Ian Holdaway - Associate Consultant
Following a PhD in industrial chemistry, Ian worked originally for Esso at their Research Centre, in refining at the Milford Haven refinery, and then in UK corporate planning and marketing departments. Subsequently he joined J.Aron, the commodity trading division of Goldman Sachs, where, as Operations Director, he was responsible for all aspects of international trading.
Richard Johnstone - Associate Consultant
Richard provides expertise across supply and trading and in particular in the area of negotiation and operation of commercial joint venture and partner arrangements for oil and gas processing, transportation, storage, lifting and sales. After graduating from Oxford, he worked for BP in London and Milan in Supply and Crude Oil Sales. From BP he moved to the International Marketing department of the Kuwait National Petroleum Company. He subsequently held senior positions in Supply & Trading for BNOC and BG.
